Profile

I began my working life at Mason Baggott & Garton as a Receptionist on the Apprentice Scheme in 2002. On completion of my apprenticeship I was offered full time employment in the Conveyancing Department where I trained to be a secretary supporting one of the Partners.

I transferred to the Wills and Estates Department in 2008, where I trained to become a Private Client Advisor and after 17 years with the firm to date I am now based at the Scunthorpe Office. I like to spend most of my time assisting our clients who have no immediate family members or who have sadly lost their capacity to manage their own affairs, but I do also cover a wide area of work which includes making applications to the Court of Protection, preparing Wills and administering estates. I have assisted hundreds of clients and families with managing their affairs during their lifetime and after death.

The Mental Capacity Act and Court of Protection applications. General Elderly Client Advice and Powers of Attorney.

Hobbies

I am guide guider for the Girlguiding unit in Brigg and I enjoy spending a lot of my time working with the girls and doing activities in addition to our weekly meetings. I like to go to the gym “as often as possible” and I love to spend time increasing my extensive shoe collection. In addition to the above I have my very own toddler who keeps me very busy.

First Job

Some 17 years ago…….. I went straight from school into my first job with Mason Baggott and Garton at the Brigg office.
