The Practice has achieved the Cyber Essentials Certificate helping the business to guard against the most common cyber threats and demonstrate our commitment to cyber security.

Over recent months the practice, in collaboration with their IT partners, Jupiter IT, have been implementing a number of internal technical controls to protect our organisation and work towards successful completion of the scheme. Through the successful completion of this scheme the practice can now offer reassurance to our business partners and clients that Mason Baggott and Garton take cyber security extremely seriously.

Richard Mason, IT partner commented,

“We are delighted to have been awarded the Cyber Essentials Certificate. This along with our other accreditation’s demonstrates our commitment to providing a quality service and being a friendly family firm in which clients can have confidence”

What is Cyber Essentials ?

Cyber Essentials is a simple but effective, Government backed scheme that helps protect  organisations, whatever its size, against a whole range of the most common cyber attacks.

Cyber attacks come in many shapes and sizes, but the vast majority are very basic in nature, carried out by relatively unskilled individuals. They’re the digital equivalent of a thief trying your front door to see if it’s unlocked. The government’s advice, as part of Cyber Essentials is designed to prevent these attacks.

Further information on the scheme can be found on the National Cyber Security Centre website.
