Profile

Having decided I wanted a career in law from a young age, I went to university in Liverpool to study LLB Law and then stayed there to complete my LLM (Masters in Law) and Legal Practice Course. I undertook a period of work experience in Mason Baggott and Garton’s Brigg office in Summer 2021 and then joined the firm’s Scunthorpe office as a Trainee Solicitor in 2022 following completion of my LPC. Having grown up in the countryside, and wanting to choose a topic that was a bit ‘different’, I wrote my Masters Dissertation on the Laws surrounding Taxation in Agriculture and was awarded a Distinction. Whilst I was at university I developed a very keen interest in Family Law, I was therefore delighted to be placed into the Family Team on commencement of my Training Contract.

To Kill a Mockingbird – I studied this book for my GCSE English Literature and it has stuck with me as my favourite book ever since.
