I am a Fellow Chartered Legal Executive and member of Resolution who has worked at Mason, Baggott and Garton Solicitors since 2016.
I am experienced in a number of legal areas including private client, family law and property law.
I joined started my legal Career in 2005 where I was employed as conveyancing clerk for a local Solicitors firm. During the course of my employment I undertook my training as a Legal Executive and completed my course in 2012 with merit and distinction. During this time I had the opportunity to work in the probate department before moving through to the firms family department undertaking a large array of work including divorces, children matters, financial settlements and assisting victims of domestic violence all of which included appearing in court.
In 2015 I achieve Fellow status with the Institute of Legal Executives and moved to Mason, Baggott and Garton Solicitors in March 2016.
Here I have been able to continue with my passion in both private client and matrimonial areas of law.
My private client work involves giving advice and assistance to clients in relation to wills, lasting power of attorney’s, appointment of deputy’s, trusts, probate and the administration of estates. Each clients needs are different and I pride myself in being able to assist my client and offer a personal touch. I also offer elderly client advice ensuring each clients needs are met as they progress through different stages of their lives, supporting them and their families with a friendly approachable attitude.
As a family lawyer my work involves cases relating to domestic violence, children, divorce, separation matters, finances, co-habitation and advocacy before the County Court and Magistrates’. I pride myself in being client focused, assisting and supporting clients through difficult times of their lives and helping them to overcome various situations. I work closely with domestic violence agencies, working with a range of vulnerable clients and families.
My time is split equally between both private and family work which involves a lot of time spent with clients as well as representing clients at court.
I am enthusiastic and passionate about my work, working closely with clients and professionals in my field, continually striving to offer my clients the best possible legal service.
Community is important to me being based in a market town and being able to work closely with local businesses and groups that are keen to share similar values.
In my spare time I like to cook and spend days out in the Lincolnshire countryside with my family.
If I get the time I love to read, usually Terry Pratchett.
